Description: The Latino Student Union of Grand Valley presents
BLACK VS. BROWN
At a time when the dynamics of race and ethnicity are changing rapidly in our communities, there is one conversation that America has avoided. THE RELATIONSHIP between the Latino-American population and the African American population.
What does it mean to be Latino? to be black? How similar/different is our struggle? Are you my Ni*g%r?
and a whole lot more..
We will have a panel of 6-8 well-informed and confident student leaders.
Come be part of the debate that is going to resonate at the very core of what it means to not only be a minority in America; but for our two prevalent minority to claim their full and deserved portion of the American Pie.
